About

The Point of Sale settings allow to configure and customize how POS operates. We can manage products, payments, taxes, hardware, and user access to ensure smooth and efficient sales operations, fully integrated with other Odoo modules.

Menu Path
==========

To access the menu, go to :menuselection:`Point of Sale --> Configuration --> Settings`

POS and Payment Methods:

*  Point of Sale billing counter can be added and selected here.
*  There are four Payment Methods used:
   1. Card.
   2. UPI.
   3. Cash.
   4. **Voucher - not used currently.**

* For POS Interface, Start Category menu is enabled.

* For Accounting, default 5% GST is selected Default Journals for Orders and Invoices are Point of Sale and Customer Invoices.
* POS Orderline Salesperson is enabled.

* For Pricing, Flexible Pricelists is enabled and selected Advanced Price rules.
  *  We can select available Pricelists and we can also select default Pricelists.
  *  Product prices on receipts are Tax-included price.
  *  Line Discounts is enabled in special cases to allow cashiers to set a discount per line.

*  Promotions, Coupons, Gift Card & Loyalty Program is enabled by generating PDF cards.

*  For Bills & Receipts, Custom Header & Footer is enabled.

*  For Inventory, Operation Type for POS orders of that particular location can be selected.
*  Default Barcode Nomenclature is selected.
